Katherine's Kitchen: Pear and Ginger Sparkler

Farm to Table Cocktail Recipe:
Pear and Ginger Sparkler

It's that time of the year again when the weather starts warming up and you are trying anyway possible to stay cool and refreshed. This pear and ginger sparkler is the perfect way to feel refreshed after a day on the course, work, or some weekend fun.

This recipe is from our May 2021 Book of the Month - Farm to Cocktail by the North Florida School of Special Education. To buy your own copy, click here.

What You'll Need:

4 oz. Vodka
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 pear chopped and cored
1 oz. ginger syrup (recipe for simple syrup below)
Ginger beer to top
Extra pear slices for garnishing
Mint for garnishing

How to Mix:

  • Make the ginger syrup–add ¼ cup sliced ginger, 1 cup each water and sugar in a saucepan & bring to a boil over med-high heat. Remove from heat & cool to room temp. Strain out ginger. Keep cool.
  • In a cocktail shaker put chopped pear & muddle. Add vodka, lemon juice, and ginger syrup then muddle thoroughly.
  • Fill glasses with ice + pour mixture over. Top with a splash of ginger beer and garnish with slices of pear and mint sprigs.
And what pears (see what I did there) well with a good cocktail? A fun dress to match! The Carmel dress in flower bouquet is sophisticated, timeless, and sure to keep you cool during those warm spring days all while looking your absolute best.
